Proven Performance – The Rigour Of Unparalleled Testing Procedures
We have worked tirelessly to design and create the best
performing Tactile Ground Surface Indicators in the world.
We have achieved our goal through subjecting our designs and materials to over 24 International and Australian independent tests in accredited testing laboratories. We have remained committed to research and development and listened to the individual requirements of our diverse and specialised clients.
We behaved like this to give you peace of mind that when you specify and install ESP’s Access® Tile you will be confident, informed, and certain of your selection.
Accelerated Aging, Freeze-thaw Chamber
Extreme heat and freezing cycles test structural integrity in
all climates while integral loading cylinders stress tile
throughout temperature cycles to validate durability.

Taber
Abrasion
Measures the wear resistance of tile to ensure years of maintenance-free service. Additional testing was also
undertaken with CSIRO Australia to ensure all safety
compliance was met with AS/NZS1428.4.1 (2009).

Tensile
Strength
Engineering analysis calculates required strengths when exposed to externally applied forces, such as foot traffic and moving vehicles.

Gardner
Abrasion
Additional wear test standard to ensure durability
in high foot traffic areas.
Compressive
Strength
Measures compressive strength to meet AS/NZS1428.4.1:2009 standards developed to determine resistance of vehicular loading.

Slip
Resistance
Measures slip resistance to meet standards in both wet
and dry conditions.

Flexural
Strength
Measures flexural properties of material required
to analyse the strength necessary to resist
repetitive applied forces.
